SBC phone line

SBC Phone Company

I have recently moved to the San Diego area and had my DSL and phone started

with SBC. Every day mostly at night my phone will not stop ringing. It

goes on for hours. I have called the phone company and they tell me I need

to contact the police department. I have filed a complaint with the police

department and they say it is the phone companies responsibility. I have

tried calling the number that shows up on my phone for these call and the

man says that he has contacted the phone company about this problem and that

this is happening to other people and he is not making the calls. He thinks

that his line has been tapped into and he can not control the problem.

My problem is that the constant ringing is killing me. I am an elderly lady

and I need a phone because I live alone and my cell phone coverage can not

cover my upstairs. I also set up my DSL with them and they said they would

charge me for the year if I disconnected my service with them. I do not

know what to do. Please help!!
