zentith and Circuit City

We purchased a Zenith 27 inch TV from Circuit City in Montgomery County Pennsylvania a few years ago. Two weeks after purchasing, line would appear across the screen but the problem was quickly remedied by turning the TV on and off. We figured that it was a cable reception type problem. About a year later, the lines appeared and never went away. Zenith gave us the name of a Zenith registered repairman who told us the board was cracked and that it was probably dropped at the Zenith factory or Circuit City. He advised us that he saw it happen all the time with both companies. They simply put it right back on the shelf. Even after spending almost a couple hundred bucks on repairs, the TV was never quite right and after a year and the screen taking on all kinds of funky colors, we finally just dumped it. And neither Zenith nor Circuit City would take any responsibility for the problem, simply pointing the finger at each other. I will never buy another Zenith nor will I shop in Circuit City. My husband is the National Sales Manager for a major corporation. He used to spend thousands of dollars in gift certificates from Circuit City for sales promotions. Circuit City doesn't really just how many thousands of dollars they lost over their failure to make good on a television that cost a few hundred dollars. Thank you for letting me vent.

The repairman is full of sh#t,if the board was cracked because of dropping,it would never worked.Now a day,heavy item were loaded on pallets and moved by forklifts.Not by human therefore no chance of dropping.The repairman should stick to his business and fix it correctly.
