Park Cleaners: Destroyed my wedding gift and insulted me

Here's my complaints for Park Cleaners 1087 Meridian Ave. #40 San Jose, CA

95125 (408-445-2739)

=============================================================

Park Cleaners destroyed my blanket which was given to my as a wedding gift.

The new blanket costs more than $500. The blank was almost new and it was

my first time cleaning it.

Although its label clearly stated "Dry Clean Only", they put it in the

washer/dryer and completely destroyed it.

Park Cleaners threw my blanket away without my permission. They just said

it is destroyed. They never apologized but said "accidents do happen and

you have to understand it".

They asked me for the original receipt so I gave it to them. They said they

would call me but they never did for months. After visiting them and asking

them to have the owner call me for many times, the owner called and offered

$300.

Originally, I refused to take $300 and was going to sue them. But then I

changed my mind and decided to accept $300.

When I went to get a check from them, the owner of Park Cleaners said he

doesn’t have the check with him. He asked me to come back in four days.

When I went again, they ask me to wait and started to serve customers who

came after me. They treated me like a beggar! I was very disappointed at

the way they treat me. So I started to talk to people about what is going

on. As soon as I started to talk to the old lady behind me, one lady who

works at the counter started yelling and cursing me. She said “Shut up!

Shut your mouth and get your stupid self out of here!” I don’t think I did

anything to hear such things from her. All I wanted to do is to share my

experience with the other customers. She kept insulting me until I get a

check from the owner and leave.

Park Cleaners was irresponsible for their mistakes. They were unreliable,

dishonest and rude. They insult their customers. They do not know how to

provide professional customer service.
