complain against indiatimes.com

Hi,

I have a complain against web site www.indiatimes.com shopping. I had ordered a gift which was worth 66.68 USD. This gift was advertized as a special gift for Valentines day and was promised to delivered if the order was given before 13th Feb noon they would deliver the gift before 14th Feb. However even after placing the order before hand, these guys just deducted my money and still did not deliver my gift. They just have a way of communicating by a common email. I never got any reply to my complains and no idea whom to contact to. Looks like my money is lost. I have all proofs to prove the above said. If someone can let me know if there is a public forum where we can sue this site, please let me know.

Thanks and Regards

Himanshu Thube

Hello,

I too had recently placed an order on Indiatimes Shopping, and my order number is 110794051.

The order was successfully paid by credit card online on 7th September 2007. After several phone calls to Indiatimes executives and emails, I got poor response to my product status.

I was informed finally, very rudely when I CALLED on 19th September 2007 that the order was cancelled and I will get a refund after 6 working days. The reason for this was that the seller does not deliver to my address.

I live in Colaba, Mumbai and when the seller; "Teknix" clearly states that he delivers to all cities in India, how is it that Mumbai is not in this country??

Product ID :1454985

Catalogue ID : 20375666

For a small amount, I have been put through a lot of inconvenience on Indiatimes Shopping, when the same experience on eBay has always been flawless.

I didn't know where to bang my head, so here I am writing a complaint. God knows if it'll get published. But did you get your money back??

Hope it helps you in a small way to understand how to treat a customer, and when to make the vendor comply. I wish I had the time to go to Consumer Court.

With Indiatimes, everything the seller said was right, and the customer - well "please read the terms & conditions.."

Even after trusting them with advance payment for an available, in-stock product, I'm still stuck with non-delivery of not only the product, but also of Indiatimes SERVICE.

It is regrettable. Very sad indeed.

Best regards
