Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer

Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer My husband and I bought a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in July. Only a month after the purchase, our dryer needed repair. The repair consisited of a board that had gone bad. Not long after, our washer started tearing up. It would jump and rock when spinning out and make a horrible banging noise. The repairman (which is not a Maytag repairman) said that he hadn't worked much with those washers so instead of taking the washer apart, he just order springs because that is what it "sounded like" it needed. He then came and replaced the springs and it still didn't work. After that, and many, many calls to Maytag, he was back again to replace something else, which again didn't work. I do not fault the repairman. A certified Maytag repairman should have been sent to fix this problem. The washer still scoots out into the floor. This is an extremely heavy washer and I have to scoot it back in place before my next load of clothes because it is too close to the countertop next to it. My last phone call to Maytag was yesterday 2-15-06. After going through the continuous voice mail questions and finally getting a live person, I have to once again tell my story to someone on the other end who has no authority to make any decisions whatsoever. Yesterday, one of the people I talked to said that the washers were a little "top heavy' and that the risers that we bought with it would possibly be doing it. (Why would they sell a product that they are admitting to being faulty?) I asked then to speak to that person's supervisor who from the other end of the line told me that I didn't have a faulty washer and was extremely rude to me. I did ask his supervisor to file a complaint against him for his rude tone toward me. I do know by the sounds of my washer that it is not the risers and that it is internal. I have been through the manager at Lowe's, several different people at Maytag and still have a washer that shakes violently when spinning out. I do realize that the longer that this goes on and is not fixed that something else will go wrong with this washer. I have a 5 month old and I can't even run the washer when he is there because the spin cycle is so loud I am afraid it will wake him. The manager at Lowe's told me that he felt that I needed a new washer. I too feel like Maytag owes me a product that will work correctly. THis pair cost over $2500 and they have been nothing but trouble since we purchased them. I will never buy another Maytag product. The process of contacting someone to help me is nothing but frustrating and I am at the point that I no longer know what to do. I am tired of scheduling a time for a repairman, calling and going to many, many questions before getting someone to talk to and then getting no help. I paid extra money to avoid this very problem. I do realize that products need repair from time to time but this product is faulty and it needs to be replaced.
