Comcast Digital TV Package with 2 Premium Channels I have been billed for the last 6 months for HBO and Showtime, and I have not been able to view these channels. I reported it and was told, although I have paid it, I would not be able to get my money back despite the technician who came to my house and verified it was never working...the initial cable install came without a digital box and the tech advised me to call back customer service to have them credit my account. To my dismay and a very condescending customer rep, she claimed I won't ever get credited or see my money again. I expected better customer service and hoped that I would get credited for the initial mistake made by the Comcast tech who failed to install my cable with a box. This is my first time installing cable and experience with Comcast and if they treat all their first time customers this way- it is appalling! I expressed my disappointment with the customer rep, and told her that I no longer want TV all together. She said to drop off the digital box so that a tech doesn't have to come out to pick it up. She didn't even care that I was cancelling my service as a result of all this...but that she just wanted the box back. So now I am considering dropping my internet service with Comcast as well. First timers beware! Comcast doesn't care about providing good service, they only care about taking your money without conscience. I had expected a refund for the $10/mo. I was charged since July '05 to Jan'06 equalling a total of $60. Not for the entire TV package...just for the Premium Channels I could not access because I had no digital box that was supposed to be a part of the initial install.
