Rogers Cable (in home service) Home Location: 1001 Rock Harbour Cres, Ottawa, (613-822-1459) This past week have called on 3 separate occasions to discontinue service , to be effective Feb. 15th.2006 I received my last bill effective : Feb. 16th. No problem. Now: was told this was not possible, I must pay another full month , with increase to $59.00 . I explained that I would not even be in this location for some time and please discontinue and stop service. I was told it was my problem if I could not read the small print, and why didn't I think about calling Rogers 2 months ago. Now I would like to point out that we are not always given 30 days notice in life of circumstance whether it be illness in the family, travel, or death. All other services, Bell, Hydro, Gas , thanked me for my business and could they be of any further help and looked forward to my business again soon! I cannot believe that a appointed manager at a 1-800 number has no other supervisor other than the President of the Company above him, and to be told that he would not bother to even sit and listen to my complaint or request. This is totally unacceptable treatment of a customer, I point out and there are many instances, if you were to sell your car or dispose of it, would you be happy to be told you must pay another full month even though you do not have or use it??? One happy customer will tell 10 people, One Unhappy customer will tell 100. I would very much appreciate my service discontinued effective February 15th. 2006 as requested and not further billing for services not required. Thankyou, Kathleen Scott.
