Caveat Emptor...Buyer Beware!

When I signed up for this his dating service I was promised me access to thousands of singles on a Web site that I was told included scores of singles events. $4000 later...when I finally got access to the Web site, it was a joke. The available singles were not nearly the numbers I was led to believe and the social events were "Coming Soon." When I tried to get a refund (week of January 2 2006) after less than a week of access to the dating Web site, I was told that I had signed a contract and there were no refunds...even if it was the result of dissatisfaction - or in my case - misleading sales on their part. However, I've been repeatedly contacting them and have been told verbally that they would negotiate a "mutually agreeable" solution. I have been extremely patient, reasonable, and open to negotiation. So far, is has gotten me nowhere.

To date, I'm still being jerked around by these folks, being told that they're "researching my case" and will get back to me. When I try and pursue that, they don't return my calls or my emails. It is so far proving to be a big joke because I don't think they have any intention of following through on their verbal indication of a refund.

The scary thing is that they have such a closed organization (I don't wonder why!) that you can't easily go up the organizational chain to complain. Their stubbornness and poor business practices have caused me to do some research on them and I've discovered that there are lawsuits in many parts of the country by people apparently victimized by this company.

Please learn from my experience and DO NOT use Great Expectations... it is DEFINITELY not worth the money! From my experience, the organization, while appearing professional on the surface, is actually populated by unscrupulous money-grubbers.
