FTD Valentine's Day Service
|
FTD Valentine's Day Service On February 13, 2006, I ordered a Valentine's Bouquet, Chocolates, Teddy Bear, and Balloon for my wife. Total Value was $100. They stated it would be no problem to deliver the items to my wife's office by 5:00 PM at the latest due to the holiday. I proceeded with the order and received a confirmation email stating they would be delivered on February 14, 2006 by 5:00 PM. On February 14, 2006, I spoke with my wife and she indicated she might leave work early. I told her she had to stick around until at least 5:00 PM and she'd know when it was O.K. to leave. Well, I called at 4:52PM and asked her if she had received anything. Of course, the answer was no. I told her to wait a little bit. I called customer service at FTD.Com. It hung up on me at least four times. The other time I got connected, it advised a wait time of over 45 minutes for a customer service rep. I've since called back and it rings busy. Apparently, they have a lot of unhappy customers on the east coast at 5:00 pm. I sent two emails for non-delivery of flowers. Of course, I got a standard reply that it would take them up to two days to respond to my inquiry. My wife calls me at 5:25 PM from work and tells me everyone has gone and still no delivery. I tell her that I don't want her there alone and to come home. On the most "romantic" holiday of the year for wives and girlfriends, I have to tell my wife what she was "supposed" to get delivered to her place of work. You would think that a company like this would take holidays seriously. However, I googled FTD complaints and was flooded with holiday complaints about non-delivery. I will never use this company again. I will also make it my mission to tell everyone that will listen about my experience. Now I'll just have to see how to get my money back.
