I placed an order for a Dell Laptop Computer over the phone and was told by the salesperson that I would be allowed a $400 credit on my account because the promotion they had for online orders was no longer available as their online quota had been met. Guess what....the salesperson and his supervisor both lied.

I have been trying to get this issued resolved since August 2005 and have gotten nowhere. I also qualified for no interest no payment until 2006. Guess what....my account shows the $400 remaining but I am being charged the deferred interest. So not only am I out the $400 credit I was promised but they are billing me an additional $261.46 because my account was not paid in full by the end of the promotion date. Consumer beware....get it in writing.

Check out Gateway, I have never had a problem with them and I have purchased two personal PC's from them. Believe me, I will never recommend or purchase another Dell product.
