Allstate Insurance Claim Complaint

Allstate Insurance Claim Complaint Good afternoon,
I have been a homeowner insured by Allstate for approximately 14 years. On December 7, 2005, I had the misfortune of a house fire at my home on Staten Island. Of which, said home is a 2-family duplex (side by side attachment). While one side is resided by both my husband and I, the other side was vacant at the time of fire although, used by both of us as we are the homeowners. We use that house as a gym, storage, whatever the needs are.
While we were very lucky not to lose our entire home, we now have a sizeable claim with Allstate due to loss and damage suffered by the fire.
In January, Allstate sent us a Cancellation Notice because the entire house was Vacant. I sent a letter to Allstate (both home office and our agent) UPS Overnight stating that this home was not vacant therefore their actions of cancellation should be reviewed as incorrect. Now, 2 weeks before the due cancellation, they have replied to us that they are still canceling our insurance because the policy should have been written for BOTH addresses, of which, it is. The listed addressed insured is as follows: 5391/5393 Arthur Kill Road Staten Island, New York 10307
I fail to see where both addresses are not mentioned when it clearly reads two separate mailing addresses.
We are also represented by a Public Adjuster to help us through the mess of the claim, but now because of this claim and a recent claim 7 years ago, no one seems to be interested in assisting us with home owners policy with Allstate. This must be illegal that they are allowed to do this...
HELP ME HOWARD!!! PLEASE!!!
