my purchase based on a QVC website error

my purchase based on a QVC website error I purchased the Dell XPS Centrino Notebook when it was the Todays Special Value back in December of 2005. I had to return this item at my expense because of incorrect product information provided on their website. Below is a copy of the email I sent to QVC's Customer Service regarding my complaint: "Unfortunately I must return this item. When I read QVC's description of the notebook (it was a TSV) I clearly remember it saying on your website that this XPS was made in the USA and the printer was made in China. It was a gift so I asked the recipient to also read the on-line description. She too read "made in the USA". Based on this she wanted the computer. However upon closer examination she discovered the packing box says "made in Malaysia". And now the description on your website has been changed to read "made in Malaysia". She does not want the computer and I dont blame her. For the first time I am quite disappointed in QVC. I am returning the computer because I feel it was not represented properly and because of this the recepient refused to keep the gift. In the future I will look elsewhere for my computer purchases." The email response I got from Customer Service was the standard so sorry, send it back. I phoned and got the same response from their rep. No explanation or apology for the misinformation. No offer of paying the s/h on the return. I emailed QVC again expanding on how angry I was and this was their response:
"We are sorry for your disappointment. We have issued a refund in the amount of $____ to your (credit card) for item E00265, Dell XPS Centrino Notebook with 80GB 14.1" Diagonal WXGA & All-in-1 Printer from order number 3130862632. I am sorry we were not able to refund the return postage. Thank you for contacting QVC.com.
Kind Regards, Fran" Im furious. I believe they misrepresented this computer. QVC has very bad business practices. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
