A & E Factory Service-national Where's customer service or common courtesy, for that matter? I called to set up repair for my Whirlpool Frig, which had been working fine up until a few weeks ago; and now I just needed someone to come out and take a look at it. A representative of Whirlpool told me that a service call had been placed in my name for the following day. I was to expect someone to call first, anytime from 8 am to 12. The following day, at 12:05, I called A&E Factory Service. First of all the representative sighed and smacked her lips so often that I could hardly think. After giving her my name, number, and address, she tells me that someone will be out this afternoon. "What"? "I was told I was on for this morning; I've already taken the morning off from work to be here," I replied. "Well, the technician is running late and will call you before he comes out. If you can't be there, you'll need to call and reschedule." Working in customer service myself, I understand scheduling can be hard to predict, but with a time frame of four hours, I'd like to think someone would call to let me know "they're running late." Again, I don't mind waiting for a service technician, but when it's costing me time off from work and neither he nor his company have the common courtesy to call, than "that" company doesn't deserve my hard-earned money. I had no intentions on answering the phone when or "if" A & E's technician decided it was time to call me. After thanking the unprofessional A & E operator, I called a local repair company who, by the way, came out the same afternoon that I called, and even called after the service was performed to see if I was satisfied. Now, that's customer service. Take a lesson, A&E. M. K From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 01-Feb-06 11:51:31 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
