The Brick (Hunt club rd. OTTAWA, ON) I should be hitting myself with a hammer for going back to the Brick. I just bought a leather sofa and a love-seat from the Brick. When they delivered it to me, it was two different colours. When I sat on the edge of the chair, the back of the chair lifted. I have two toddlers at home who keeps on jumping on the sofa...I don't want a sofa that's going to land on the top of their heads someday; so, I returned it and got a different model from the Brick again. This time, when it was delivered, one of them came without legs. I had to wait more than a month to have legs on my brand new sofa.
Just today, I called the Brick to get my sofa cleaned from some stains of food that my kids dropped. I had purchased fabric protection from the Brick for five years. The sales rep. when she sold me the plan told me that they will clean any stain, or fix and cuts and rips... (as she was pointing at my kids and saying, "with two small ones, you should really get this because we clean almost anything." When I called today to get it cleaned, it was a different story. They are telling me now that I need to pay someone to clean my sofa professionally, and only if the professionals can't clean it, then only the Brick will come and clean it. Well, that's not what they told me when they sold me the plan. Or but the documentation that they give me after I had already bought the plan, says that the Brick only cleans it if the professionals can't clean it. how often someone reads it after the product is already bought? I don't know about you, but I don't have time to read, I just simply trust that another human being won't put you in trouble intentionally. So what's the point of paying the BRICK????? And how often a professional fabric cleaning company can't clean food stains???? This is just blood money that the Brick is sucking out of innocent people. You don't have to pay for my sofa to get it cleaned, but you'll pay for these crimes you are committing fooling innocent people. I will make sure that everyone hears about this. I will make sure that none of my friends and my family will ever come to your store. I will make sure that the public hears about these misleading ways of you making money. Thank you!
