I have a complaint about a moving company:

All My Sons Moving & Storage

I had contracted with All My Son's Moving to move a few things from my grandmothers house. I was told dispatch would call me on Friday. I called at 4:30pm and spoke to Dispatcher Issac on Friday December 1st to confirm and get an arrival time for Saturday of the movers, he says they will arrive between 7-9 am. "The guys leave at 7am from Kent." Issac informed me we'd need to be there on time because he can't have "the guys sitting around the shop". So depending on traffic it would take 30-45 minutes to get to the house.

 

Saturday I am up at 3:45 to get everyone together and leave before 6am. We arrive at the house at 7:10 and start working on a few things arround the house.

 

8:44 I call Dispatch and speak to Neil. He tells me that the truck has left and is currently at the fuel station.

9:51 Jeff Calls and says that he has just left the office. I mention the earlier statement by Dispatcher Neil and ask if that was a lie and he confirms that is was indeed a lie.

11:19 I get a call from Jeff and he is not sure which way to turn

11:21 The truck arrives There are 3 people on the truck.

 

As I then understand the original driver had not shown up for work. Thse three people were at the office trying to get on a crew for the day but Dispatcher Neil was going to push the move until Monday.

 

The movers load the items on to the truck. When they finish I'm told I'll have to lead them to the destination. WHAT? Dispatch should have done a point to point on mapquest for the crew. So we had to pack up and leave. This means a second trip to the house for us the next day and a HUGE WASTE of my time.

 

This company was so ill prepared for our move it is a wonder how they are in business at all. Customer service was terrible! You would think they had never done a move for anyone ever.

The movers themselves were nice and honestly the only good thing about the move.

 

One of the movers mentions an issue he is having with his drivers licence, so all the way to point B I worry if he drives and there is a problem with his drivers license.. are my things insured at all?

 

I'd not recommend All My Son's Moving & Storage to ANYONE, especially if you are counting on them being there.

 

I think this company should take a hard look at its business practices and be rid of the sub standard employees. If a driver can't show up for work.. should he have a job at all? If a dispatcher isn't good at customer service should he be in a customer service position? The answer is NO. I think they should absolutely refund 1/2 of my mothers money as out time is just as valuable as thiers.

I think anybody who has done business with this company has their own horror story to tell. I have mine, to include over charging after they get my stuff, breaking stuff during the move, not showing up when scheduled. I came very close to knocking both issac and neil into next tuesday. They lack integrity, and any business acumen.

The only real guarantee with this company is that THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

I had a similiar experience with them this weekend and they broke a family mirror and offered me a measly $60 for a $450 mirror. They didn't show up on the scheduled day and the infamous Issacs offered a bait an switch when they he knew they were not going to come.


I am going to find a way to register as many complaints about this company as possible. If there are any users out there that can direct me to the agencies to log complaints let me know!


I don't usually do this, but they have gone too far!
