Kirby Vacuums

Kirby Vacuums Do NOT buy a Kirby Vacuum. They oil their way into your home under the pretext of a complimentary carpet cleaning. Dressed in street clothes, they do not represent themselves as Kirby. One of the salesmen sprayed spot remover on some troublesome areas of my $2500 Ethan Allen white linen couch. The spot remover made dark-gray splotches, which they assured me would dry. The splotches remained two hours later. Thence followed promises by the crew leader that he would return and work on the couch. He never did in spite of repeated calls to their office. Calls to their local store as well as the corporate office were met by rudeness at every level. No one is the slightest bit interested in customer satisfaction. Kirby corporate office in Cleveland, Ohio, Says they cannot help; every store is independently owned. The local store says the sales staff is independent, and the store is not responsible for their actions. Their product is inferior to almost every vacuum. The Sears Kenmore Progressive outshines Kirby and sells for two thirds less than Kirby. Stay away from Kirby. Do not let them into your home. First of all kenmore is one of the worst vacuums on the market. They do not pick up anything in a carpet, the hose always breaks, the motors go all the time and they are poorly made. Just because you had a bad experience with one Kirby office, doesn't mean you will with all of them.
