Orbitz Website-"Great Fun . Com" Last night (December 28th 2006) I was on the Orbitz website. As I finished up payment of a hotel room I'd reserved on this site, I read a message that asked if I'd like to save an additional 15% on my purchase to click a button. I did this and the website "Great Fun" said that I'd become a member and I would be charged 9.99 per month on the credit card I'd just used to pay for my hotel room. They give you a 1 888 number to call to cancel but I felt this is such a hassle considering I never requested membership with "Great Fun" and for them to just take my credit card information for something I didn't sign up for, is just plain wrong and dishonest. I mean, who wouldn't want to save an additional percentage? Then, you have to call to cancel and are put on hold for a while and redirected a couple of times before you get someone who simply confirms your address and gives you a confirmation. I'm cancelling my credit card because of this. I mean they could take your credit card information and do anything with it if they can just sign you up for a website just for clicking a button on another website. I'm very disappointed with Orbitz on this because they seem like a good and reputable website. After being prompt address, zip and spelling of name, i was transferred to a customer assistant. the line goes dead. i repeated the process twice. still no customer service rep. I am disappointed with the Orbitz website. I guess this is how the money you save is being used......... Orbitz has stolen thousands of credit cards numbers by the use of Great Fun and THEY have stolen thousands of million dollars from their customers without permission. ORBITZ is now being investigated by the INTERPOL and probably will face an International claim of about several million dollars. It is one of the biggest frauds in the history of Internet. I went through the first few pages of "Great Fun", but never signed up for their 2 "Free" months of membership. Oddly, I was charged 12.99 in the first of 2 "Free" months that I didn't sign up for. When I saw what a jerk around the site was, I closed it without signing up. Apparently, they'd logged my info from Orbitz and screwed me on the billing. They are getting an earful tomorrow. They assured me that it would be canceled. Now the bill is showing up on my credit card statement. I am really upset. I am considering legal action against Obitz.com and Greatfun.com From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Sunday, 28-Oct-07 09:53:31 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
