Motorola KRZR rebate

I bought a Black Motorola KRZR K1M from Amazon.com on Dec. 21st, 2006.

They advertised $75 rebate total, $25 from Amazon.com and $50 from

Verizon Wireless. Their directions concerning the Verizon Wireless

rebate directed us to the Verizon Wireless website to retrieve the $50

rebate but when I entered in the UPC code and date of purchase, it gave

an error saying the rebate either expired or doesn't exist. I called

Amazon.com's customer service and they said they didn't handle the

rebates and that its Verizon's responsibility. I then called Verizon and

they said they had no such rebate. I called back numerous times to both

companies spending endless hours and never got a clear response. I am

now stuck with no way of applying for the $50.
