I booked 5 one-way tickets (2 of them are for a "round trip", but booked

seperately for my oldest daughter) to see family in Michigan. We had to

cancel the trip. Now they want to charge another 500 dollars for a reissue

fee. I have no objection to paying 100 dollars per person, but for the

"round trip" tickets, I don't think it is reasonable to charge 200 dollars,

even if I booked them seperately. I think they are just trying to take

advantage of people.


Another thing that is not reasonable is that if we change to a cheaper

flight, they won't give us credit for another flight. They will just take

all the money they are not entitled to and say oh, sorry if you change to a

cheaper flight, then it's your loss, we didn't ask you to change.

I think US Airways is a thief - stealing money from innocent people.


A similar situation happened to us (needing to rebook for a later date) with

a

different airline, but they were much more accommodating. They didn't ask

us

to pay any penalty, and they will give us credit toward another flight if we

rebook

a cheaper flight. I will definitely fly them again.
