AOL Blocking Emails from gmail

>From time to time AOL blocks my emails which I send to my daughter. I use gmail, she uses AOL. She is deaf. I am an older woman - a widow who lives alone and while most of my communications with my daughter are social, she's my only emergency contact as well. Because she is deaf we use email in the same way other people use a telephone. I called AOL and they say they cannot see any reason for my mails to be blocked. Google says they'll look into the matter but it's really out of their hands. AOL should not be able to block individuals who are sending messages to their customers! They say it is because spam has been sent from gmail accounts but hey, so what? I don't send spam so don't block mine. I saw another complaint on complaint.com about MSN email customers being blocked also. AOL needs to learn a lesson!
