Sir,


I am in Chicago now. I took service from Cingular in Dec'2005 in

Arlington,VA. It was a 2 yr contract. I didn't took any handset at that

time. The representative said that I can cancel my contract anytime as

didn't took any handset.

Next month I have

upgraded my plan to a family plan(incl. my wife).Didn't take any

handset.The contract termination date is changed to Jan'2006...even

though it is an upgrade.

Then

I moved to chicago.In May, I tried to take handsets as they are due on

my account. All of a sudden I was told that I need to sign a new

contract to take handsets. Then I tried to cancel the contract...I was

surprised to see that I have two yrs contract and will be charged if I

terminate..


Did contacted Cingular customer service people

numerous time but all in vain.


I feel I should get the better deal...as my payments are prompt and they

have the proof that I didn't take any handsets...Please advice me..
