A & E Factory Service for Maytag Appliances

I contacted A & E Factory Service in the Atlanta area, specifically in the Acworth/ Kennesaw area when my brand new Maytag Neptune Dryer quit working. I had the appliance for approximately 2 weeks before it stopped working. The rep. was very timely in arriving the day after I called for service, which I didn't expect to see. He diagnosed the problem and identified the relay in the control unit that had failed. Unfortunately he did not have the part in stock on his truck and because it was so close to Christmas the ordering process was a problem. He spoke to his superviser and indicated that he had ordered the part "Priority" and that it should be at my door on the Tuesday but no later than Wednesday following the Christmas holiday. I had been without a dryer at the first of December for a week and now I was without a dryer again, although I understand that the holiday is a problem. Needless to say the part did not arrive by Wednesday, and when I called A & E Factory service, I was informed that the part has not shipped. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told that someone would be paged to call me. I am still waiting for the call!

I also am having a similar experience with A&E and would like more consumers contact the manufacturers to remove them as their service company.

i am without the washer for nearly 2 weeks now, because they misdiagnosed the problem (after 5 minutes on their little laptop repair device), cannot "expedite" a part no matter what (against company policy)even if you are willing to pay extra, cannot schedule it less than one week out, and their customer service line is anything but.

not only contact the manufacturers, but call/write your local, state and better business leaders to look into any fraudulent activities due to irregularities in pricing.

i also put in writing to maytag that i would not purchase another product as long as it would use A&E as their service provider.

I know how you feel. I ask to speak to a manager at A&E Factory service (tel 800 905 9505) as I wanted to file a formal complaint. The customer service rep refused to transfer me to a supervisor or manager and after I insisted that I be transfered to a manager they told me they could not help me and hung up.

Interestingly when you visit the A&E service website they channel any customer enquiries through a cookie cutter form that I'm sure is filtered by the same individuals one is trying to complain about. Where is the objectivity???

My nearly new Whirlpool washer gave out about the same time. The first A & E repairman said we needed a new motor, which was ordered, came a week later than was supposed to and the next week a repairman installed it. Ten minutes into the first wash the same problem stalled the machine, we called them back and had to wait a week for the next apt. That repairman came replaced two parts and said that was it and would not stay for the spin cycle, not his "job and he was not straying from his policies" Ten minutes after he left same problem and was a week before anyone could come back. Same one came back with an attitude and was about to leave until I spoke to him about "stack" procedures which he did and had to order two more parts. Two weeks later with an apt. scheduled between 1 and 5, no one showed or called. This is the most disturbing company I have ever worked with and they do not care! After many called to Whirlpool I finally got one that seems to care and have another apt. set for next week. This has been two months now with a family of 4 and no washer. I will never buy whirlpool again and most certainly no other product with a warranty serviced by A & E.
