LUFTHANSA AIRLINES LOST BAGGAGE/RUDE SERVICE Hello,
On December my wife flew from Miami International Airport to Frankfurt enroute to Bucharest, Romania. Prior to her departure my wife and injured her back and was on medication, SO to alleviate her discomfort I purchased a roll-on Samsonite Airlines approved bag for her to take on the flight with her.
Since on an earlier flight to Bucharest Air France had lost one of her bags we put all her jewelry and medical items in this bag along with a few Christmas gifts. Upon checking in the Flight personnel IN Miami refused to annotate the value of the bags we checked in saying it was not necessary.... The roll-on bag was allowed by the check in personnel and security for entry to the plane.
Upon attempting to board the flight #4633 the attendant at the door of the plane refused to let her take the bag on the plane and told her it had to be placed below. The attendant was very rude and unprofessional and she quickly scribbled a claim check and took the bag. Unknown to my wife the attendant put on the wrong name and location for the bag. Upon arriving in Bucharest her checked luggage arrived as expected but the bag with all her medicines and jewelry was not there. My wife filed a lost bag claim number # OTPLH31094.
Its now a week that the bag is lost and she is told when she calls Lufthansa to call back in a few days and they will see what they can do. This is not acceptable and totally avoidable since the bag was airline approved and should have been allowed on the flight.
Based on the last two flight's my wife and I will never fly Air France and now Lufthansa based on their poor service and failure to handle timely problems especially when medical problems get worse based on their inactivity and lack of support.
