circuit city in home service plan/ 55 inch sony HD TV We purchased a 55 inch sony HD TV last year and purchased a in home service plan for 350.00 with it. Spending right at 4000.00. The TV began having yellow pixel problems and we had it picked up on November 28, 2006 for repair. Not only did we have the service plan to use, also for this model Sony has issues with this model for the same problem. It took three weeks to even get a approval for the repair shop to fix the TV, this approval came from my husband and I calling several times to get this done. Then we are told it would be fixed in a week. One week later we are told the "part" to fix it is on back order with no estimated date of delivery. Our in home service plan clearly states if the repair is over seven days, they will give us a loaner, this never happened. Now today (Dec 22, 2006) they said they are going to replace the TV, and now again this will take 7-10 days to do. Circuit City has given us the run around so long now, for something that we were told would be hassle free and taken care of immediately. Here it is now almost Christmas, family on the way and we have NOTHING. No TV in our living room for enjoyment. Our replacement TV, or the exact one is sitting at Circuit City right now, even at 1000.00 less then what we paid. They have not done NOTHING for us, and seem to not care at all although when we were in the store a year ago ready to spend 4000.00, they had no problem with help and accepting our money. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
