Yorkies-Won't comply with contract Fulton, MO
Complaint is:
Rocky was purchased on 4-26-06 from Mark Santo & Mary Blochberger who own Santo Hill Kennels in Fulton, MO. When we got him he was 1 lb 9 oz. He was never really playful and slept alot but still we loved him at first sight and never thought anything of it. He was always really skinny, but had a good appetiete. He weighted 1 lb 13 oz at 9+ mo old. He never had any health problems until November. On Thrusday Nov 2 he seemed a little more tired than usual and had loose stool, he occasionally had this so we didn't think anything of it, we gave him NutriCal and let him sleep. Then on Friday he started throwing up, had loose stool and would not eat or drink anything, and he had a seizure, we immediately took him to the vet's office. His sugar kept dropping even with the medicine the vet was giving him, he still vomited despite being tube fed, his body temperature kept falling even though he was being injected with warm fluids, he was also really weak. Despite the vet doing what they could for 4 days he passed away on Monday 11-6-06. I was in contact with Mark & Mary on Sat, Sun and Monday. Their first reaction was that no matter what we will replace him. On Monday while he was dying I was on the phone with Mary and I even asked if they wanted his body, they said no that we could have him. Then I never heard from them. I called several times, sent the vet records, everything I had. They dodged my calls, never returned emails. They are not going to replace him. They said we've never sold a sick dog, well yes they did and they won't make it right. I just want you to be forwarned before you spend a lot of money on a pet who may be sick. I want you to know that they will not honor their so called contract. It would be best for you to find someone reputable and honest. Their website about Rocky is full of lies. They would like you to believe they are good, honest people, don't be fooled. They only created the webpage to try and cover themselves and make me look like an irresponsible owner, I'm also not paranoid or irrational. I gave them a month, and repeated phone calls and e-mails which they did not respond to. They left no other alternative than the route I have taken. What would you have done? They have sent the threatening e-mails. Created fake emails in which to harrass me. In fact, they have gone so far as to contact my work, trying to get personal information. For which they were informed that I now have enough for a harassment suit. Their vet spoke to mine without my permission. They heard it for themselves that it was congenital, not something that he caught. Honestly they simply are looking for any way not to honor the contract and do what is right.
I checked with BBB they are not a registered company. They claim to be licensed with Dept of Argruculture but no such license number could be found. Also they are cash only company so there is no record of transactions.
