This is regarding my (2) Chase Visa credit cards...

It's Saturday December 16th as I write this. In the mail today I received

(2) computer generated form letters from Chase in which I was advised that

the credit limits on my (2) Visa cards had been reduced...

To say I was livid with anger would be putting it mildly indeed!!

I've had these cards for quite some time, one for 8 and the other for 5

years. Never in that time have I missed and/or been late with a payment.

I've always paid in a timely manner, and always either paying the balance in

full each month, or paying at minimum 50 percent of the balance due each and

every time without fail...

Immediately suspecting something wasn't right, I checked my FICO score and

my credit files with the major credit reporting agencies, and everything was

as it should be there...

A call to Chase customer service ended up being a complete and total waste

of time!! The person I spoke to could've cared less and was not of the least

bit of help!! This person had no clue what to do about my issue, and wasn't

even sure who to direct me to for help of a specific nature to the problem

in question...

My husband and I, along with my son will be traveling to the Philippines in

February to attend his wedding, and I had planned on taking both cards with

me, you know, just in case I would need to use them. Now both cards are (in

effect) totally useless...

The largest purchase I've ever made with one of the cards (the one I've had

the longest) was for $2223.00 for my sons ticket, and this was December

3rd - my husband and I surprised him with it for his birthday...

The Chase Visa card I've had the least amount of (5 years) time hasn't

carried a balance since June of this (2006) year...

So ~what~ could've triggered this is the BIG and as yet unanswered

question...

I have a feeling I'm not the only one with a Chase credit card horror story

like this...

Do I have any course of action? I'm hoping maybe someone out there might

have some idea...
