My 77 year old mother is receiving rude, threatening phone calls from a Mr. Chambers who works for Fred Hanna and Associates ( collection agency) in Georgia. When I spoke to Mr. Chambers to tell him that the money he is trying to collect from her has been paid in a settlement with the creditor, Bank of America, he refused to stop calling and still is. My mother becomes very nervous now every time her phone rings.

Can you help?

We paid our debt with Apothaker and Associates who has our account until December 29th, 2006. The debt was paid on the fourteenth of December and now we are done.

This Mr. Chambers needs to stop calling us. He will not. I have tried to speak to his supervisor and she just puts me on hold and then he picks up and becomes rude to me again.
