USautoparts/Partstrain.com / on-line auto part sales USautoparts.com California Ordered a wheel from them using my V.I.N. number to get the correct wheel. Received item quickly but the wheel was wrong, damaged and of course used. I sent pictures at their request and waited a week... Nothing. I called and e-mailed at least a dozen times. Oddly, the lady I dealt with, she's no longer employed there. Another lady, she doesn't work there anymore either. I go through many excuses i.e. at lunch, will call you back, etc... Finally after 3 weeks, I ask point blank, "will I get a refund or not", "yes or no" ? They said yes and gave me a false return number. Clearly it was false because It was just a number sent via e-mail. Nothing else. Later as I'm doing a complaint search and I read on another site that this so-called RGA# was false, so I was correct. Do not buy from Partstrain.com or USautoparts.com if you want to get good service. I am attempting to return a starter which arrived damaged. It has been ten weeks since I ordered the first starter. When it arrived damaged, I called usautoparts, com. I was told I would have to purchase another starter before I could return the first one for a replacement. I ordered another one and was told a courier would pick up the first one. Yes, I should have known better because a pickup never occurred. I have since called usautoparts.com customer service 11 times. I have been put on hold for at least twenty minutes on every call. Today, I was simply disconnected after being on hold for a half hour. This has been a dreadful experience. While I am on hold, every 30 seconds or so, a recording reminds me how valuable I am, to please continue to hold, how my patience is appreciated, how friendly and experienced their customer service operators are, etc. Save your self a boat load of trouble and frustration by going to go to your local auto parts store. The $10.00 you will save with these folks is not even close to being worth it. If you are reading this as a result of your own complaint against usautoparts.com, I encourage you to report these people to the Better Business Bureau, your state's office for consumer affairs or attorney general's office, Ebay Customer Service, my3cents.com, epinions.com, Yahoo, and anyone else who can save future victims from being abused by usautoparts.com. This is the worst the internet has to offer. Feel free to post this on your favorite blog or myspace.com The more people who know the better.
