Horrible Service At Ashley Furniture This is a letter I forwarded to "Customer No Service" December 15, 2006 Ashley Furniture 3120 Williams Rd. Brandon, Fl 33511 Dear Christina Bautch, I regret having to write to you about an unpleasant experience I've had with your company. I prefer to contact a company only in praise of an employee or the company's actions. Unfortunately, my situation is such that it is necessary for me to forward a complaint to you. I would like to inform you that I have not received all of the purchased merchandise from Ashley Furniture. On September 29, 2006, I purchased a Surroundings bedroom combination, consisting of a king size leather headboard bed, 2 tiers, dresser/mirror, and a chest. In addition, I purchased the matching dining room table with 4 microsuede chairs and server to complete my dining room. This merchandise was purchased from Ashley Furniture store in Morrow, GA. The totality of the sale price plus tax was $5756.55. Unfortunately on 10/25/06, not all my furniture was delivered as promised. I was brought the dining room table, server, bed, 2 piers without glass shelves nor the touch-switch lighting system, dresser and mirror. To more dismay some of the furniture that was delivered was damaged, therefore, having to send it back with the delivery men. That left me having to wait 2 From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 15-Dec-06 11:36:33 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI wish I had seen all the Negative comments re: Ashley before I purchased a leather sofa from them about 1 year ago. I previously had a gorgeous LANE sofa that I enjoyed for 4-5 years, and made the mistake of selling it with my previous home ( the Buyer just loved it and wanted me to include it with the home sale). Then, I saw one I liked from Ashley and purchased it + matching recliner. In about 6 months, the leather finish began to flake off. I am a single homeowner, with VERY limited wear and tear on my furniture, so this surprised me. After inspecting it closer, I found that the finish was PAINTED on the sofa--- not dyed into the Leather. Incredibly CHEAP for a so-called Quality furniture brand. Guess What? Ashley C/S says go back to the retail store, they say call Ashley and the gist of it is: THEY ARE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY UNLESS YOU JUST WANT SOME CHEAP CHINA-MADE FURNITURE WITH THE 'ASHLEY' NAME ADDED FOR EFFECT. IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT, YOU'D BE BETTER TO JUST BUY CHEAP OFF OF EBAY TO START WITH.
