SVP (U.K.) / SVP.co.uk To whom it may concern, We feel it imperative to warn others of the terrible and extremely stressful service we have received from 'SVP' (UK). We ordered a spindle of CD-R discs on Monday 04th December 2006 at 1:43pm and paid for next day delivery, to arrive Tuesday 05th December 2006. They were part of a birthday present for my son, whose birthday was on Thursday 07th December 2006. The following day, Tuesday 05th December 2006, I took the day off work to ensure I was home to receive the delivery and duly waited in all day until 7pm. Nothing arrived. So, assuming my delivery was simply late due to a higher that usual load caused by the time of year, I decided I'd give the delivery company the benefit of the doubt and wait until the next day for my goods to arrive. Again, the parcel didn't arrive. Being very patient, again, I waited until the morning of Thursday 07th December 2006 and again, there was no delivery. So I took the decision to contact SVP to ask what had happened and with the intention of cancelling my order as it was now too late to pack them up for my son's birthday. SVP replied and informed me that the delivery company had attempted a delivery on Tuesday 05th December 2006 and had left a card in my door informing me of a failed delivery!!! NO way!! Not only was I at home all day that day, but I am also quite capable of checking my own front door for any delivery cards - NOTHING had been put through my letterbox. SVP also had the nerve to ask me to call the delivery company - a local number, but at my cost - to arrange another delivery. This order was now too late for my needs and besides, I had paid for next day delivery and they had failed to do so. I was neither prepared to a) call the delivery company at my cost, nor b) arrange for a re-delivery of an item which was now of no use to me, nor c) make any effort whatsoever to collect goods I had paid extra to have delivered by a so-called 'Next Business Day' service. SVP also suggested that "If you dispute receiving any calling card, please could you confirm the colour of your front door." .....What utter rubbish! Not only does this particular delivery company deliver here fairly regularly, but don't they realise that it would simply need one of the drivers to pass by my property to find that information out and thus have the ability to confirm that detail if necessary. Lets see that one holding up by a court of law!!! So, I duly replied to SVP with my views, refused to call the delivery company and requested an immediate refund of my monies since no goods had been received. SVP then replied to me, simply informing me that since my last email, they had emailed the delivery company, asking them for the colour of my front door! What good was that?! Talk about bluntly ignore my email! I eventually managed to secure a refund after threatening legal action, although they were originally adamant that I was until the courier company returned the goods back to them! No was was I going to stand for that. I had been a customer for some years prior to this, but will NEVER use them again and feel others should be warned. Their customer service policies stink and their customer service staff seem as though they are trained to ignore anything you put to them, in favor of their ore-determined responses. Steer well clear of 'SVP'. S Easton.
