Alltel and a data connectivity kit for Kyocera candid camera phone

Complaint:

In August I renewed my contract for 2 phone lines and purchased an additional line as well as upgrading to 3 camera phones. I was not interested in purchasing text and or picture messaging at the time. I asked the sales rep if there was a way to download pictures from your phone to your PC. He suggested I purchase a data connectivity kit. I purchased two different phones - and LG and a Kyocera. I was interested in the connectivity kit for the Kyocera. At that time, I asked if it would be possible to dowload pictures from the phone to a PC using the data connectivity kit without text/picture messaging. The sales rep stated that it would be possible. I purchase this kit for my son, who did not have anu success downloading from his phone to his laptop. We thought it would just require some technical support. I returned to this Alltel store to purchase a data connectivity kit for the LG phone. When the sales rep asked if he could do anything else for me I mentioned the problem we ehere having with the other connectivity cable. At this time I was told that the data connectivity kit does not allow you to download pictures. The manager of the store refuses to take the device back as it is well over the 15 day return policy. His name is Matt Miller, he was defensive belligerant and rude. He feels that he has an accurate assesment of a situation that he was not involved in because he asked his employee if he know the cable would not allow you to dowload pictures and the sale rep claimed to know that. Although all of the costumer service people I have dealt with via phone have been very polite, this manager has not been.

Resolution:

I would like Alltel to allow me to return the device due to misrepresentation by the sales rep. I would be happy to have a credit on my bill for the cost of this device.
