Unicorn Financial Services Unicorn Financial Services Joe Doughty Director 1250 South Clearview Avenue Suite 100 Mesa Arizona 85209 I received a bill from this company before I received the procedure I borrowed the money for. I paid it on time, I worked as a temp and received my pay check weekly once my assignment ended I was out of work. Shortly after a month or two of looking for a permanent position I found a job but they only pay twice a month. I called Unicorn and asked if I could change my due date to the 21st of the month. Anthony in billing told me no because of a late fee my account is not current and they were going to send it over to collections. I’ve always sent in my payments I haven’t missed one. So Anthony starts to call my job and harass me for payment of $35.00 (late fee). To get rid of the calls at work Anthony told me to send in $250.94 this would bring my account up to current status and then they could change my due date. I mailed in what he told me to send in and never received a call from him when the payment posted. So I called Unicorn looking for Anthony and got someone named Richard who was worse than Anthony he was rude and indignant with me and told me that I owed another $35.00 late fee because the $250.94 was received after my due date and so it did not bring the account up to current status. He said that no one would do a thing for me until I send in another $35.00. I tried to speak to Anthony to straight this matter out because he was the one who told me to send in the $250.94 but after getting the run around I found out that Anthony is no longer with the company. So now I’m getting the run around from everyone at Unicorn, the billing department, customer service, I asked for Anthony’s Supervisor (she supposedly was on vacation) I left her a voice mail and she never returned my call her name is Lindy. I spoke to Sue, Melissa, Kay, and there’s someone there named Tanner he called my house trying to collect that $35.00 also. I paid the late fee over the phone and they charge you $15.00 to do this. Then I called in to change my due date and they said they can not give me the date that I requested, so guess who is still going to incur late fees? Me, because I can not get my payment out to them by the date they claim they can only give me. I am so stressed out and unhappy with the way Unicorn has treated me, I just want everyone to know that they are nasty, unfriendly and uncooperative. Please tell all your friends and family not to do business with this company. I know I’ve told mine, so today they are the wiser.
