Midnight Sun Tanning - Tulsa
|
Midnight Sun Tanning - Tulsa I am writing in regards to a tanning salon in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is Midnight Sun, located on 61st Street between Mingo and Memorial. I signed a year-long contract with Midnight Sun and agreed to let them withdraw $27.17 from my checking account every month. When the year was over, I submitted a letter stating I wanted to end the contract and I also signed a paper that the owner, Brooke Bills, gave me, which essentially said the same thing. They didn't withdraw for two months after that. Then they suddenly withdrew again, twice in the same month. The owner is nearly impossible to get on the phone. I have left countless messages. I did talk to her once about a week and a half after the first incorrect withdrawal and she assured me she would take care of the problem. Of course, none of the employees at the salon know how to fix this and I can't get her to call me again. It has been a month since the first incorrect withdrawal. I had checks bounce and I suppose I will have to close my account now just to keep them from dipping into it again. The employees at the store keep telling me thay have all kinds of problems with these types of contracts and I don't understand why Midnight Sun continues to do business with the company that is responsible for taking care of their automatic withdrawal accounts when it is making so many of their customers mad. Don't ever give your account information to Midnight Sun!! On the outside Midnight Sun seems like a very well "put together" establishment, but it is the stuff "behind the desk" (so to speak) that is not so "professional." There is no third party that takes your money "automatically out of your checking account or credit card." The whole EFT thing at Midnight Sun is a "scam" the credit card slips that "you" sign is hidden under the desk and can be destroyed or disappear at any time. I understand that this is a business, but for them to lie to the public after spending so much damn money at this facility is just WRONG! When I say lie, I mean the fact that "there is no way we can just stop your payment, we need a thirty day notice and even then you will have to pay a fee, because if you stop your contract before the date it expires, "WE" have to pay a fee, so that is why you have an early out contract fee... there is no outside, third party, the owners Brooke and Coby Bills have control issues and have no concept of thinking of others before themselves. So with all that said, just cancel your checking account, quit lying in those out dated beds with bulbs that are as old as the beds (hey, bulbs need to be changed in order to get ANY type of results!) Good luck to you out there that sign any type of contract that has to do with tanning or fitness!
