BMW Z4s and Run Flat Tire Problems

I have just learned that for liability reasons, BMW will NOT repair run flat tires. If anyone has a flat, the tire has to be replaced. I recently had a flat tire and it took FOUR days for the dealer to get a replacement tire. Can you imagine the inconvenience if your were on a long trip and in the middle of nowhere.. spending 4 days while the dealer stumbles all over themselves trying to get a tire so you could get back on the road? To me, there are two problems, tires that cannot be safely repaired and a lack of service standards that allows a dealer to take 4 days to perform a repair.
