(More) I bought a Maytag QuietSeries 300 at Appliance Depot on Bee Ridge Rd. in January 2002 (The store has moved a few times and is now located on Tamiami Trail). I also bought a Maytag oven and a television. There was a one year warranty and I bought a 3 year service agreement. The dishwasher was working really well for a long time. I do not remember, honestly, exactly when it all started going bad- about a year after owning it I called NSI, the warranty people Appliance Depot uses.

The dishwasher was coating everything I had in dishwasher detergent. No one could eat off the plates until I scraped off all the little pebbles of detergent. I called NSI, they called Maytag and Maytag came out. This man said I was using the wrong detergent and I should use Electrosol tablets. Well, I tried that and it didn't work. I called back and then he said my water wasn't hot enough and I need to let the sink run for 2-3 minutes on hot before turning the dishwasher on. I tried that and it didn't work. I then had a plumber work on the sink to make the water come out quicker. I always turned the water on hot before I turned the dishwasher on and it never cleaned all the detergent off.

I called another maytag man said to not use Electrosol, but Cascade and I honestly do not remember what all was being fixed because I had a baby and life got crazy. I can tell you that it never worked well and I had them out several times. In the last 6-8 months the dishwasher has been leaking. The last Maytag man came out in late January of this year-2006. He left, it leaked again. I called NSI back. They said they would send someone else out. Well, no one would call me back. I would call NSI and they would say they faxed something to Maytag. I would call and not get a call back.

So I call NSI again - in May! They tell me that the Maytag that came in January said the dishwasher was not installed right and that is why we have had all these problems. Interesting, considering none of the other Maytag guys said that.

So, I call Appliance Depot on Tamiami trail and talk to their manager. He says he cannot believe it and he asked me to repeat everything and he would give it to the president of the company- Charlie and I would get a call back. He said Charlie would call NSI and get it handled because this just wasn't right. Never got a call. I called every week and was told the manager was not in. Employees I spoke to said they knew of the story, but the manager was not in. They took my number and said he would call. No one called. I called tonight, July 7, 2006. When a man answered I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I told him my story he said he remembered and that he told me to call NSI and talk to a supervisor. That is not what he told me. He told me he was going to give the info to the president of the company. He was very rude and told me to call the president, Charlie, on Monday and to call NSI.

I called NSI and they said it was not installed right. So, did Appliance Depot install it wrong in the first place? Have I gone through all this mess because they had it installed wrong? Is NSI making this up so they do not need to replace it? I know that Appiance Depot did not fight for me as the store manager said they would. I know that they have avoided me for three weeks and no one will help me and I think this is wrong. Appliance Depot told me this $650 dishwasher was the best of the best when I bought it. Now, if you go in and speak with them, they say Maytag does not have very good dishwashers. They should have stuck to washing machines and dryers. I know this because I went in and spoke to them also.

I do not think this is right. This dishwasher is not that old and I have tried to get it fixed for a long time. If the appliance warranty company Appliance Depot uses cannot fix it and then refuses to fix it then Appliance Depot needs to do something. I have been lied to, ignored, and tonight talked to badly.
