I'd gotten stuck with WFHM and had a bad experience with them - they were disregarding my own insurance company's documentation and tacked their own insurance onto my mortgage amount. When I questioned the raise in monthly payments, they told me the extra fees were due to some unpaid taxes on my home. Since I get all the tax statements from the assessor's office, I knew they were lying.

I refinanced the house and told the new loan agent not to give my mortgage to WFHM, but they did it anyway. The first two months, everything was fine, but now I'm going through the exact same thing you've experienced. I think they get the mailed mortgage payments just fine and then hold them - I can't imagine any other way they're getting all these payments so late. Our mail is just fine!

Every month, I get at least 4 calls from WFHM debt collectors, and they are very verbally abusive and threatening. Well, I finally had enough of that and am starting another refinance with a company I know won't turn my mortgage back over to WFHM.

If the subject of mortgages comes up in conversation, I will speak my piece about WFHM and their shady, if not illegal, business practices. Right now, I'm just going to get out from under this despicable mortgage company and never look back.
