Circuit City

I would like the general public to know how Circuit City treats customers. On April 17th 2006 I ordered an MP3 player from them. In June of 2006 it quit working, so I contacted them and told them of the problem. They told me they would send me a return label to ship it back to them. I sent it back and received a money card to be spent at their store. When I made the initial purchase I also purchased a 2 year extended warranty. I paid $291.47 for everything, when I received the money card it was for only $238.49. I contacted them and asked them what was going on. I told them I wanted the same MP3 player or I wanted my money back. They responded they would only refund me the amount of the MP3 player with a money card. Now my question is what warranty did they use the manufacturers warranty or my extended warranty? The manufacturers warranty was good for a full year. Now they are telling me they will not refund my money I have to use this money card in their store. I consider this Deceptive Trade Practices and I do not recommend anyone purchasing anything from them if they don't want this to happen to them.
