Complaint against Pick-Red Plumbing & Heating Company in CA.

I recently received a Final Notice letter from this company saying I owe them $350. (I have never received any prior notices)! And they were threatening to put a Mechanic's Lien against me.

The problem is:

I never heard of this company in my life!

I don't know how they got my name and address. But when I called them they started quoting some unknown plumbing work they said they did for me a few years back! They were trying to tell me they had signed contracts for work done and everything and that I owed them this money. When I asked to have copies of this so called signed contract faxed or mailed to me. They suddenly did not have it! I asked for a supervisor but no one was in the office to talk to. So I contacted my lawyer and he advised me to send them a letter that if they harass me in future for this fraudulent bill. That I will sue them. They told me CC: to the local BBB. I suddenly get an email from the BBB that this unknown company tells them I owe them money and again saying I have signed docs etc. I wrote a long letter informing the BBB that not only do I not know this company but I explained to them that I had called them and asked for proof! What do I do now?

Await to be harassed for the next 10 yrs by collection agencies who unknowingly buy this from this company! And have to explain each time to them too.

This is getting to be a big pain. How do I stop this abuse by this company? What good does it due me sending these letters. Do I have to spend my life seeing this unknown company. And all their collection agency's? What do I do! Who are these people!
