This complaint is about the New York Sports Club of which I have been a member for over four years.


Last year I began trying to cancel my membership, but to no avail. I phoned and was sent a form. I filled it out (foolishly not keeping a copy). But they still charge me monthly. The charge goes directly onto my American Express bill and so I have closed that account. But American Express continues to keep the account open since those monthly charges continue to come in.


I have faxed Robert Giardina, the CEO of NYSC four times, but not received any reply. I have emailed another of the company's directors.


Frankly I do not have any idea what to do next, but did want as many people as possible to see how unresponsive this company has been, and continues to be.


There are many other health clubs, I suggest people use them.
