O Box 10667 Riveria Beach Florida 33404 Claim # 1235432 Dinette Set; Levitz sale order # 05112XF0EVY Sir/ Madam, I was asked by Ms. Monica, (customer service representative) to write to you, asking for an update on the 7 year warranty coverage on the Dinette set bought from Levitz in May, 2002. On August 15th, 2006, my wife noticed a crack on the table top, and we called Levitz and we were advised to call Stan Safe at 1 800 521 0555. I called the number and spoke to Mr. Shener. We explained to him the damage and provided him all the information, he requested. He then asked us to fax him a copy of the original invoice. I faxed him a copy, even though, I felt it was unreasonable to ask for the invoice, considering our sales order is in the Levitz Computer System. On August 21st, I called again for an update and spoke to Ms. Monica. She confirmed the receipt of the fax. She also advised me that Levitz is no longer a customer of Stan Safe and therefore there could be the possibility that they may not honor the 7 year warranty. She did not have any definite answer whether we are still covered by the warranty. She also requested me to keep the broken table glass, just in case they might ask to see it. The purpose of my letter is as follows: 1) To get an update on the status of our 7 year warranty, 2) Since we paid for the seven years warranty in May 2002, the broken table top glass should be replaced as soon as possible and 3) We feel to expect us to keep the broken glass for indefinite is unreasonable. Copy of this letter is also being sent to the Stan Safe warranty department’s Customer Service, The Levitz’s Consumer Relations Department, The Local Levitz Store, and also to the Credit Card Company. We will appreciate a quick response to our concerns. Thank you so much for your help.
