Incompetence at onetravel.com I appreciate this service, maybe I can relieve some angst:
Dealing with onetravel.com can easily result in nightmares. I'm not yet sleeping and have been living this nightmare for a few days now. Onetravel.com is probably the most incompetent business I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Over the last three days (calling from Austria), I have been shuffeled from person to person, lied to, and constantly mis-directed by each person spoken with. My call records indicate that four calls to onetravel (non-toll-free as calls originate in Europe & needless to say, they refused to return my calls) resulted in just a few minutes less than 4 hours, most of which was waiting on "hold." And to top it off, they are still charging me a $35 ticket cancellation fee. You see, I had to cancel the tickets when they informed me they will only issue paper tickets for my flights, not E-Tix, and they will only send the tickets to the address that is attached to my credit card (which is in Detroit) and not to the location where I happen to be at the moment which is in Germany and from where the flight actually originates.
What a bunch of idiots or maybe they are running a scam of some kind. They are surely not qualified and have absolutely no concept of "customer service."
I strongly advise anyone looking for travel options (flights, hotels, etc.) to steer clear of this bunch of incompetents at onetravel.com.
