Bedroom set / Poor customer service ASHLEY FURNITURE HOME STORE 3020 Memorial Parkway Sw Huntsville AL, USA 35801 256-489-2222 I bought my bedroom set including the mattress which cost me close to $10,000 for my master bedroom from Ashley home furniture store in Huntsville, Alabama in June 2006.
On July 2006, the bedroom was assembled in my home by Ashley assemblers. They were missing screws in the bedroom set that was shipped from China. They found some extra screws in the truck, but not enough to take care of the canopy on top of the bed which required longer screws. After the assemblers left the house without assembling all the bed. I contacted the warehouse and told them of the problem. They said as soon as the assemblers turn in the ticket they would order the screws. I also contacted the store where I bought the bed. The store manager assured me that the item is on order, I would be taken care of by the end of August and that the screws are being shipped from overseas. I waited patiently until two weeks before the end of August and went to see the store again and spoke to another manager. He said he would talk with the owner to see if they could pull the screws out of the floor display as I requested. He called me back on 29 August and told me they will give me a $100 gift certificate and that the owner said "NO" for taking the screws in the floor display. He said the next shipment will be in at the end of September. This is very poor customer service. I will never buy there or spend that kind of money in a furniture store again before doing research on it. You can not contact the corporation because they have no numbers to be found. This store should be picketed. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Thursday, 31-Aug-06 13:03:57 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
