Company: ultrex pressure cooker
Category: Other
In January, 2006 I inadvertently lost the 5 and 10 Pound incremental weights to the 8 quart pressure cooker. I called Ultrex and paid for a replacement part. In March, I received the wrong part, I had provided the correct part number as per the parts replacement page, and was informed by a very rude lady that, part numbers don't mean anything to us. I asked why the number was included, then she became really sarcastic, they still aren't used. I reordered the correct part with all of the supplemental information and was told it would be shipped in two weeks. After an additional two months, no part, I called and was told that Ultrex was consolidating its warehouses, and I would just, have to wait, they were shipping January orders and hadn't got to mine yet. I have since placed another two calls to the customer service and have sent three e-mails requesting a response as per their website, as of today-nothing.
I have had frying pans lose the non-stick features and a deep fryer that lasted a total of 6 uses before it died. The replacement element is more than the unit itself.
If Mr. Krull is continuing to hawk this inferior merchandise and have customer service personnel address his customers as chattel, he should go into the used car business, at least it would reflect his companies position and attitudes. No wonder people call into HSN during his presentations and complain whereby he cuts them off offering a direct line to resolve the issue. Why don't we have that ability. I asked the last customer service person for the number and was told, you only get to talk to me, there is no supervisor.

I purchased my pressure cooker on HSN also.Didn't use it for a while,When I did I was very much afraid of it.I have always used a pressure cooker and this one for some reason I wasn't confortable with.I thought that it was because it was a different brand and the controls worked different, but after I used it a few timed and near burns I was very dissapointed in it.I will never buy anything ULTREX ever!

Did you ever find 5&10 pound weights? Since I lost all three.
