On August 17, 2006 4:59 PM I placed an order through ccicameracity.com for a Sony DSC-T9 camera. Prior to placing the order I called to confirm the price and make sure the item was in stock. I was concerned since on August 16, 2006 I found this product with this merchant for $219.99; the price had changed so I wanted to know if they would give me the price from the day before. I was told that they get new stock in every day and I had to pay the current price of $239.00. I was assured this item was in stock and would the next day as I was placing the order close to 5:00 pm. On August 18, 2006 4:18 PM I sent an email inquiry as to the status of this order. On August 21, 2006 4:43PM I received an email from Email User “Please call 718 627 4224 for more help Thank you”. I called today, August 22, 2006, I was asked of anyone called to confirm my order with me, I said no so they transferred my call to Larry, who told me that “the item I ordered was NOT the US model” “it does not come with a power cord” “If I wanted the US model with a power cord it would cost $120.00 more and it will take 4 weeks to ship to me from China”. I told Larry I did not want the order and I thought his company was a rip-off, he said he does not want to hear that and hung-up on me. Ten minutes later I receive a voice mail from Larry. He wanted me to call 800 216-9397 Ext. 219 to confirm the order. It was like he did not know he just spoke to me a few minutes ago and tried the “bait-and-switch” routine with me all over… First he tried to sell me some additional accessories then he told me I did not order the US version, the item I ordered did not come with a power cord. I told him to cancel my order and I was going to report his company to Yahoo.
