Bestbuy Worst Services and Big Lier!!! Store Number 487...

Less than a year ago, I purchase what I thought, was a good deal. I went to BestBuy Store number 487 in the Newington, CT Area, and I purchase two Ipods for my my two daughters, in which time the customer service representative, indicated to me to purchase an extended service plan, and that the only thing was not cover on this plan was, stolen item, damage item in a fire, submerge item in water, or theft item, which I understood, so he said, for your future peace of mind, so I did.

Yesterday August 21, 2006, I sent my daughter with her I pod, because her screen was crack, so as I were told this will be cover, but for my surprise, and in accordance with the customer rep. from the store they can not do anything because that was not cover in the extended service plan, my daughter call me over the phone and I spoke with the Store Manager Yousef Seyal General Manager of the store # 487, and this guy with a demanding voice, and also with a really stuck up attitude, came to me, not a "hello sir", not a shake of the hands, not a smile, but a big attitude. and he said to me "WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU?", I responded to him, my name is ---------. and yes we spoke over the phone and you can help by resolving this problem. He said "The only thing you are going to get from me is this and he give me the business card with his name and the 888 number from their headquarters. I was mad and angry, but I decided to call their 888 number, so when I called I explain once again to the cust. rep. over the phone, and how their cust. ser. in the store misled-ed me and lie to me just for them to sell their extended service plan. She apologized for the actions of the customer service rep. of the store but concluded that the ipod could not be replaced. As you can see BESTBUY is not a trusted business to deal with, they are big liers and they like to take advantage of their customers, like me. At least this is my impression of this store and as a result of the BestBuy Chain... Bestbuy Worst Services and Big Liers!!! I will proceed against them with the Consumer Affairs Office, Customer Protections Office, Attorney General Of the State of CT. Better Business Bureau, Local Media, and other proper channels, until they can understand that lying is not right in business deals.

BestBuy service plan does not cover accidental damages. No service plan or warranty covers that kind of damage. You need to read the manuals. You must have misunderstood the sales rep while buying the service plan
