I took my wedding band in on May 8, 2006 (that was purchased in June 2005) to have a cracked stone replaced. On July 7, 2006 I was informed that my ring was destroyed after 2months of waiting for it to return to the service department. I went out to the store and met with the Store, Jewelry and Lost Prevention managers on July 14,2006. I was told that I would be refunded the value of my ring , the amount of my service contract and would a gift card for my pain and suffering. I spoke with the insurance agent for JCPenney on August &, 2006 who still hadn't received all the paperwork form the store I faxed all the receipts to her that same day. I've also filed a complaint with the corporate office on August 15, 2006. I have made two follow up calls to the corporate office on August 18th and 21st, still no response. It's now August 22, 2006 and nothing has been done. I am thinking that I need to call an attorney.
