I subscribed to AOL for about 10 years and cancelled my subscription last winter. I wasn't able to find a link on their site to cancel, nor was I able to reach them by phone, so I sent an email through the AOL website telling them to cancel my service at the end of the curent billing period. At the same time, for reasons unrelated, I cancelled the credit card to which my account was billed. I soon began to get harassing phone calls and explained to two different people that I had sent an email to cancel my service. I was billed for two more months after I cancelled. The harassment started with the phone calls (at least 6 or 7); I have sent two letters to AOL explaining the situation; now I have received a statement from a collection agency. They should be able to see from my records that I did not use AOL during those two months after I cancelled because I had gotten a new provider. Please let me know the government regulatory agency to which i can complain. Thank you for any insights you can provide.
