A & E Factory Services 7/13/06 - called 800# for factory listed service for Calypso washing machine - A & E Factory Sevices. Scheduled a repair visit for 7/20/06. Repairman came, said motor and pump was needed. Gave him a check for part and service visit - $215.23. $65.00 for visit/$151.23 for part. After he left I called Lowe's in Bear, DE to complain that the Calypso "wasn't supposed to wash King size bed spread", one of the reasons I had bought the machine, according to the repairman who was from a local SEARS repair service. Decided to buy new machine after talking to Lowe's. Immediately called and canceled return repair visit. This was within 30 minutes of the repairman's visit. Was told "Customer relations department" would call and confirm. No call. 8 days later the part appeared at my door. Called A & E, asked why the part had come/how to return it. Was told "Customer relations" would call with return info. Told them, again, to cancel the return repair call. No one called me. 8/20/06 as I was leaving for Doctor's appointment, repairman arrived. No one from A & E had told him not to come. He said he would return the part which was still in its unopened box. Gave it to him, got a receipt which clearly indicates a refund is due. Called A & E when I got home - in hold hell for 25 minutes. Demanded to speak to manager. Was told "There's no one here right now". Said I wanted the name and number of someone to talk to about all these problems. Now I was told that the "manager" had authorized the refund. "Customer relations will call". No one called. Days later called again. Demanded name and address of company President. Was told Larry Good, the first time. A later second call was told his name is Larry Goods. First time the address was 3800, next time 3805. All of this was supposed to be in Round Rock, Texas. Asked for phone #. Was told they didn't have it. Called Directory Assistance. No such business/person in Round Rock. called again, was given an 800 # - called this number. It's no longer in service but I could use a 101515800 number for more than $5 instead. Called A & E again. Was on hold for more than 40 minutes and then they hung up. I want my refund and I want consumers warned that these people are dishonest.
