Suntrust Bank Suntrust Bank Orlando,Florida
I have a checking account with Suntrust Bank in the Orlando area. Sometime ago, I decided to add both my daughter's names to my account in case something ever happened to me,they would have access. They in turn , established their own individual checking accounts. Recently, one of my daughters went into a large negative amount. Suntrust transfered funds out of my checking account and put it into her individual account. Now , everyone I've spoken to at the bank , said they reserve the right to do things like this because I never specified that their names on my account should be "in trust " only. My first problem with this is.....i was never informed such a thing existed no#2...taking the only 600.00 I had in my account did not cover the 1000.00 she was in the negative for. no#3-now instead of having one account in the red, they took it upon themselves to put my account in the red also....no notification ever given to me....the primary account holder. no#4-I wrote checks against the funds they transfered out of my account no#5-when my mortgage check was presented for payment, they of course did not pay it and charge me an insufficient funds penalty of 32.00.
Now, I don't care how it's written, or how legal they say it is for them to do!! There is still something wrong with this picture.
Suntrust is most assuredly hurting for money, since they have resorted to foul and unethical tactics. I'm so incredibly disgusted and irrate, all I can do is write this , hoping someone can give me direction as to my rights.....I'm not looking for more money.....just want to be treated fairly.
