Eye Save & Comerxia Eye Save Order #7050581 - Rayban Aviator Glasses. I am an Irish bases consumer. I recently ordered (08/08/2006) a pair of RayBan aviator sunglasses from www.eyesave.com. The total amount for the order was €164.00 ($207.00). The international shipping company COMERXIA were looking after the order. I received full confirmation of my order by email shortly after ordering. A few days later I tried to check my order status on the "EyeSave" website, however I kept getting an error message saying that it wasn't a valid order number. I then tried to login to my "EyeSave" account and was told that my email address was not recognised. I thought that maybe my order had not been finalised and said I would leave it for a few more days. The day I noticed payment had been taken from my credit card I checked back on the "EyeSave" website and still I could not access order status information. I then emailed "EyeSave" to see what the problem was. This was their response exactly... " ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eyesave Support" Email User Subject: Question About Order Date: Tue, 15 Aug 2006 16:43:46 -0400 Thank you for contacting Eyesave.com Unfortunately it seems our international shipping company whom holds your order has gone out of business. Please refer any inquiries regarding any outstanding charges to your credit card company with whom you may file a claim. Please let us know if you require any further support documents Sincerely Eyesave.com" Now how about that for wonderful customer service. It seems COMERXIA have gone out of business... In the space of a week??? And neither "EyeSave" or "COMERXIA" where able to tell me before I made my order or up to the point where I could cancel it before any money was taken. I am going to investigate the matter through my Credit Card company and through any consumer organisation I can. Is there anyone in the USA that I could get in contact with? My advice to anyone is DO NOT SHOP WITH EYESAVE.COM. I believe they are involved in a scam to take money from international consumers. They could ahve easily told me not to place my order if their "Shipping" company where experiencing difficulties. -- _______________________________________________ For the largest FREE email in Ireland (25MB) and 20MB of online file storage space - Visit http://www.campus.ie From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 16-Aug-06 03:11:24 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
